I must have researched a dozen tents before settling on the T2. After talking with the folks at REI and listening to their love of this tent I decided to bite the bullet and buy one. What a great tent!
This tent is very versatile. I live in AZ and do some backpacking in what can only be described as HOT weather! Leaving the canopy off keeps us safe from the bugs and cool at the same time. I also make a week long trip 1, sometimes 2, times a year to the Olympic Nation Park in WA, where it can rain A LOT. The T2 has done very well at keeping us dry, and with the canopy on, warm as well! It's not super light, but for a two man tent it's not that heavy either. It packs up small and is pretty easy to setup. We like it so much that we even car camp with it from time to time, even though we have a bigger tent for that purpose.
